After today blow – Tottenham urged to sell 26yr old in the upcoming transfer window

John Wenham, a trusted insider at Tottenham, has advised Daniel Levy to consider selling Joe Rodon during the upcoming summer transfer window.

The Welsh defender, currently on loan at Leeds United, has expressed his desire to extend his stay with the Championship club if they secure promotion to the Premier League.

Rodon has become an integral part of Leeds United’s squad under manager Daniel Farke, featuring in 33 out of 34 Championship matches this season.

His consistent performances have played a crucial role in Leeds’ pursuit of promotion.

Recent reports suggest that Rodon is open to the idea of leaving Tottenham permanently, should Leeds achieve promotion.

Speaking to Tottenham News, Wenham emphasized the need for Tottenham to prioritize their rebuilding process over potential financial gains.

Wenham highlighted the importance of learning from past mistakes and suggested that Tottenham should consider accepting offers in the range of £10-13 million for Rodon.

He believes that this would be a prudent decision, given Rodon’s limited role in Ange Postecoglou’s plans for the future.

In Wenham’s view, Tottenham’s willingness to part ways with Rodon will demonstrate whether the club is committed to their rebuilding efforts or prioritizing financial gains.

He emphasized that securing a fee within the suggested range would represent a significant improvement from last summer, considering Rodon’s unsuccessful loan spell at Stade Rennais F.C.
