‘Send in your flags’ – Tottenham prepare major fan initiative ahead of Aston Villa clash

Tottenham Hotspur are stepping up preparations for a crucial end to the season, rolling out plans to boost the atmosphere ahead of their final home fixtures.

With just four games remaining, the fight for Premier League survival is heading for a tense conclusion. What initially looked like a four-team relegation battle has shifted in recent weeks, largely due to Leeds United’s strong late-season form. Under Daniel Farke, Leeds have climbed to 14th and now sit nine points clear of Spurs with only three matches left.

That leaves Tottenham, Nottingham Forest, and West Ham United locked in a high-stakes battle to avoid the drop.

Spurs’ recent form has been inconsistent, putting added pressure on their remaining fixtures. However, a win against Aston Villa could see them move above West Ham, especially after the Hammers slipped to defeat against Brentford earlier in the round.

If that momentum builds, attention will quickly turn to Tottenham’s upcoming home clash against Leeds United — their first at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium since facing Brighton.

To mark the occasion, the club is calling on supporters to help transform the stadium into a vibrant, intimidating environment. In a message sent to fans, Spurs unveiled a new initiative encouraging supporters to submit their flags for display across the ground.

The club plans to work alongside THFC Flags to decorate every stand and corner, aiming to create a striking “sea of Lilywhite” throughout the stadium. Fans who wish to take part are asked to submit their flags for approval ahead of the May 8 deadline, with the club confirming that selected flags will be stored and reused for future home games.

If submissions exceed capacity, flags will be rotated across matches to ensure as many supporters as possible are represented.

Beyond the visual display, Tottenham are also introducing additional matchday incentives. Their popular “Early Bird” drinks offer will return for both the Leeds and Everton fixtures, allowing fans to receive a free drink with every purchase made within the first hour after stadium gates open.

The club is also planning to showcase messages from Official Supporters’ Clubs around the world, highlighting the global unity behind the team during this decisive stage of the campaign.

With survival on the line, Spurs are clearly doing everything they can to energise their fanbase and turn their home ground into a fortress when it matters most.
