Postecoglou claims Tottenham now have an outstanding youngster who every club is really aware of

Ange Postecoglou, the manager of Tottenham Hotspur, has recently spoken about one of the team’s outstanding young players.

Postecoglou’s experience with young players predates his time at Celtic by a long way.

But the manager’s stint in Scotland did a great job of demonstrating how eager the Australian is to put in time and give youthful players an opportunity.

At Spurs, Destiny Udogie has maybe been the finest example this season; a different manager might have easily looked to bring in a more seasoned player in the summer.

Postecoglou’s trust did, however, pay off—it has done so many times.

After their Plymouth Argyle loans, it will be intriguing to watch how players like Ashley Phillips and Alfie Devine, who undoubtedly have bright futures in North London, slot back into the lineup the following season.

That being said, Postecoglou was talking about a midfield player on this particular occasion who is just now a Tottenham player.

A deal has finally been reached for promising talent Lucas Bergvall, who Postecoglou is eager to work with, to join Tottenham in the summer.

Postecoglou spoke with the Spurs media team about Bergvall’s acquisition recently as well as his enormous potential going forward.

“Yes, he’s an exciting young player who has come across our radar through Johan [Lange], but I believe he’s probably been observed by every major club,” he said.

There aren’t many hidden diamonds these days, but he has some excellent qualities, is a wonderful young guy, and comes from a nice family.

He clearly had some options, so I felt it was vital that he was extremely deliberate about what to do next.

The fact that he chose to join us is fantastic for us as, in my opinion, it demonstrates our efforts to establish ourselves and the fact that others think highly of us.

“Excited to work with the group and support his growth once we have him in the summer.”

Watching Postecoglou, a young midfielder with a ton of promise, shape Bergvall’s career at Tottenham will undoubtedly be quite intriguing.

Having said that, it seems a guy from whom he can learn a lot is now prepared to make a comeback for Spurs.
