Levy confirms European giants have tried to sign Tottenham ace for sometime now

Alejo Veliz, an Argentina striker, was recruited by Tottenham Hotspur at the beginning of the season.

Prior to joining the Premier League club, the 20-year-old striker was highly regarded in South America and was being watched by a number of clubs.

Director of Sevilla Victor Orta has recently disclosed that the Spanish team has been attempting to sign the gifted young striker and has been monitoring him for some time.

On the team’s official website, he said, “We have been trying to get a striker like Velez for a while.” “In the summer, we faced off against some of the top teams in Europe. We will continue to monitor such players to see how they develop even after they join one of the major teams.

“We went for the signing when we found out in the last week of the transfer window that Véliz could be a possibility and that they could heal from his injury in a week.”

The striker ultimately signed a loan deal with the Spanish squad in January’s transfer window, where he will play regular first-team La Liga games to further his development.

Veliz is a fantastic talent who has a bright future ahead of him; nevertheless, in order to reach his full potential, he has to play more often. He would not have profited from sitting on the bench at Tottenham, and everyone should find great value in the loan transfer.

In the closing third, Sevilla will be looking to the 20-year-old to bring more cutting edge as they required more quality and depth in their attack. The young Argentine striker has the technical skills to succeed in the Spanish league, despite his youth, and Tottenham will be hoping he can return to the team in the summer as a more developed player.
