Tottenham Hotspur defender Radu Drăgușin is increasingly expected to leave the club this summer, with reports suggesting he has already given approval for a move to Germany.
Earlier this week, his agent Florin Manea stated that the Romania international is currently focused on helping Spurs avoid relegation and that no formal negotiations had taken place with other clubs. He also mentioned plans to travel to London to meet his client.
Drăgușin’s 2025 season has been heavily disrupted by injury, which kept him sidelined from January until December. Since returning, he has made 10 appearances in all competitions, totaling 581 minutes. In the Premier League, he has featured nine times, starting five matches and accumulating 529 minutes, averaging 59 minutes per game.
His defensive contributions include 1.8 interceptions, 0.6 tackles, 1.6 recoveries, 4.8 clearances, and 0.9 blocked shots per match, along with 2.7 duels won on average. However, under new manager Roberto De Zerbi, his involvement has been minimal, with Kevin Danso preferred in defence following Cristian Romero’s injury absence.
Despite earlier denials about transfer talks, reports from Romania claim Drăgușin is now “closer and closer” to leaving Spurs. RB Leipzig have emerged as strong contenders for his signature, with the Bundesliga side targeting defensive reinforcements ahead of next season as they push for Champions League qualification.
Leipzig are reportedly working with a €40m budget for defensive signings, while Tottenham are said to value the former Juventus defender at around €20m. Agent Florin Manea is believed to have recently visited Leipzig’s headquarters and attended a match against Union Berlin, where he was reportedly impressed by the club.
According to reports, Drăgușin has now agreed to the potential move, with Leipzig expected to prepare an offer in the upcoming transfer window.
