Spurs recently dispatched club officials to the Arena da Baixada, where they watched Dias in action during Athletico’s matches against Atlético-GO and Vitória. Those scouting trips have placed the teenage defender firmly on Tottenham’s list of potential signings.
Local journalist Monique Vilela first reported that Spurs had already communicated their interest to the Brazilian club, with Globo Esporte later verifying that contact between the two sides has taken place.
However, Athletico Paranaense are in no rush to negotiate. Their stance is clear: Dias will not be sold immediately, and the club intends to keep him at least until the end of the current year.

Despite his age, Arthur Dias has quickly become an important figure in Athletico’s defence. He has featured in 15 matches, starting every single one—an indication of the trust placed in him by manager Odair Hellmann.

Dias is under contract until 2028, meaning Athletico retain strong negotiation power. According to Globo Esporte, the Brazilian side would expect a fee between £17 million and £21.5 million (€20m–€25m) if talks progress in the future.
