Tottenham now really want extraordinary £60M striker as Levy seeks Kane replacement
Tottenham is said to want to sign a striker for £60 million as chairman Daniel Levy and the recruitment team look for someone to replace Harry Kane.
Spurs were occasionally linked with a new center-forward
Richarlison is currently Spurs’ second-highest scorer in the league and has been in great form lately. However, there is a strong case to be made that the Brazilian isn’t quite the long-term 20-plus goal-per-season striker that Ange Postecoglou could make use of.
Some people think that Tottenham might sell Richarlison and buy someone better if they get a good enough offer for him this summer. This may make it more likely that they will sign a striker.
Earlier this week, Alasdair Gold gave Spurs a hint that they might be interested in signing Ivan Toney, a striker for Brentford. The England international would be a great addition to Spurs’ team if they can beat other top clubs to his contract.
Toney might join Tottenham, and Teddy Sheringham said, “I would love to see Tottenham nick him off of Brentford and get there before Arsenal do.”
“There’s something about Toney. He takes care of himself well and can be the center of attention at a club. A lot of people think he could be the cherry on top for Arsenal, but I think he could be a huge player for Tottenham right now.
Other, cheaper, and easier-to-reach names have been brought up for the center-forward position, though. Union St. Gillosie striker Mohamed Amoura is having a great season.

Reports say that Amoura has fans at Spurs who have been keeping an eye on him lately. The Algerian star could be someone to keep an eye on when the transfer window opens again.
Joshua Zirkzee, a forward for Bologna, is another scorer that Postecoglou seems to be interested in. With 10 goals in Serie A so far this season, the Dutchman is already in the double digits, and his play is said to be getting a lot of attention in north London.
Tottenham really wants to sign Zirkzee, as shown by the price tag
According to the Italian newspaper Corriere dello Sport, which was translated by Sport Witness, Tottenham really wants to sign Zirkzee, but Bologna might ask for up to £60 million to let go of their star player.
It is not clear if this price is high enough to stop Spurs, but they will have to pay almost a record fee because so many teams want Zirkzee.
“It was a great goal from a player with great skills,” boss Thiago Motta said after a goal against Sassuolo earlier this season.
“He scored a goal like that in practice.” Joshua is very smart and skilled, but I want to stress that he also works very hard at what he does.
