Tottenham Daniel Levy may be forced to agree £30M deal if Spurs qualify for Europe

Four “club-trained” players must be a part of a 25-man List A squad, according UEFA regulations. Spurs now fall short of that group as only Oliver Skipp, Brandon Austin, and Alfie Whiteman qualify.

Children Troy Parrott and Max Robson would both be eligible starting in the next season, however neither player’s continued status with the team is guaranteed. Japhet Tanganga may also go permanently after the end of his loan period at Millwall.

Spurs will have to enter UEFA competition with a smaller List A squad if they are unable to identify four individuals who have received club training. Unless they bring in Walker-Peters to assist in meeting the quota, that is.

After completing his training at Tottenham, the 26-year-old was signed by Southampton in 2020 after serving seven years in the academy. The deal that brought him to St Mary’s is said to have had a £30 million buy-back clause included by Spurs.

Walker-Peters is getting close to the end of his deal, so he may be available for even less money, especially if the Saints don’t make it out of the Championship.
