Exceptional £50M Tottenham could be back fit for crucial Villa game

It’s possible that Tottenham Hotspur just got a big boost before this weekend’s very important game against Aston Villa.

Ange Postecoglou’s team goes to Villa Park knowing that a win would make the race for fourth a lot more interesting.

Spurs are five points behind Villa right now, but they have a game in hand. They need to avoid losing on Sunday at the very least.

Having said that, Postecoglou’s Tottenham team doesn’t have many injuries right now, though Pedro Porro might not be able to play.

Some people may have thought Richarlison would not play for Tottenham against Aston Villa, but that may not be the case.

A journalist named Alasdair Gold said on the show “Gold & Guest Talk Tottenham” that he thought Richarlison had a small chance.

Gold said that since the news came out, there had been a lot of different estimates about how long the injury would last. He still thought that he could play against Villa, though.

“I’m interested to see when he comes back from his injury,” he said. “That was another big thing from the weekend.”

“Everyone told us a different story.”

“In the press meeting before the game, Postecoglou told us that Richarlison would be out for three to four weeks because of a knee injury.

After the press meeting, we saw an interview with him for the Spurs club that came out right after. In it, he said it would be out in two to three weeks.

After that, Richarlison was added to the Brazil team by the boss, who said he’d be back next week.

“After the game, Richarlison told a Brazilian ESPN reporter, “Oh, I’m pretty much back in training now. Hopefully I’ll be back next week.” He then told this Fred guy the same thing, I think.

Following this, he said, “It wouldn’t surprise me if we saw Richarlion on the bench at Villa Park. Based on what people are saying, I don’t think that’s crazy.”

“On the other hand, we’ve had a lot of players who think they’re way ahead of themselves—often because they have international duty coming up to make a point.”

Hope all goes well

Richarlison’s return would, without a doubt, be a huge plus for Tottenham in this important game against Aston Villa.

Along with leader Son Heung-Min, players like Timo Werner and Dejan Kulusevski are doing well, but the £50 million Brazilian often adds a flash of talent that doesn’t make sense.

That being said, Brennan Johnson, who is also making a difference, might earn a start as well.

In either case, Spurs fans will only want to win so that they can improve their hopes of getting back into the Champions League next year.
