Tottenham planning to make big forward signing as Ange targets unique star with Pedro Neto
Ange Postecoglou, the manager of Tottenham, is “targeting a major summer signing” at a crucial position in his team, with Pedro Neto of Wolves and a “unique” player ranking among their top choices for the winger position.
Spurs look for a new striker for Ange
The Lilywhites’ more thrilling brand of football under Postecoglou this season has garnered a lot of attention, particularly when contrasted to Antonio Conte’s team from the previous campaign. However, it’s said that the team is planning methods to further improve their attack.
Technical director Johan Lange is reportedly considering acquiring two wingers, and there are still rumors that Tottenham is looking to replace star striker Harry Kane with a headline goalscorer. But given the current situation, it seems that getting a new winger could be the most probable outcome.
A winger is a “major summer signing” objective for Tottenham
In fact, Tottenham and Postecoglou “are targeting a major summer signing,” and that player is reportedly a winger, according to writer Miguel Delaney of The Independent.
Delaney reports that there have been rumors circulating about Wolves winger Neto and a potential transfer to Spurs later this year. Postecoglou’s list of favored candidates includes the Portuguese player prominently, but it’s also said that Tottenham is after Crystal Palace sensation Eberechi Eze.
Delaney claims that Eze and Neto are two of Tottenham’s most sought-after candidates to replace him as a wide forward. The team is making more of an effort to add a new, qualified face in that field. Even while it seems more probable that he would sign with Man City at this point, the former may be a great choice should Spurs win the competition to get him.
Eze praised as exceptional Palace star
Despite facing injury issues, the Englishman has managed to consistently impress as he has scored five goals and assisted one this season.
Eberechi Eze’s best league games for Crystal Palace this season | Match Rating (via WhoScored) |

Palace 3-2 Sheffield United | 8.96 |
Palace 3-2 Wolves | 8.48 |
Palace 2-3 Everton | 7.83 |
Palace 3-1 Brentford | 7.61 |
Sheffield United 1-0 Palace | 7.57 |
Rio Ferdinand, a TNT Sports analyst, remarked of the man, “His journey has been unique.” “He was let go from clubs, had setbacks in his academy career, and discovered a new road and adventure for himself. After achieving this level, he is officially an England international.
“This youngster has the potential to play for one of the best teams—no offense to Palace. He has both individual skill and the awareness to keep his head up and bring others into action while dribbling. When I talk to other players that face him, they tell me that he’s such a wily player who can be unexpected with both his power and ball carrying style.
“Considering his stature, you can see that he has the strength and power to match. Once again, you must be present on the field and go out there.
