Tottenham coaches blown away by how good 25yr old Spurs man was in training before Palace

The coaches of Tottenham Hotspur have been really pleased with one player in training ahead of their visit from Crystal Palace on Saturday.

With so much time to prepare with his team without a game under his belt, Ange Postecoglou will undoubtedly expect a significant improvement from Wolverhampton Wanderers’ performance.

In February, Spurs’ press seemed to be less aggressive than in prior games, despite a varied bag of results.

After the loss, journalist Alasdair Gold questioned the mindset of several Tottenham players, stating that a significant shift was required.

However, there is cause for hope as a larger pool of players might be available for Palace’s trip to Tottenham, and two important players have returned to training.

Barring a last-minute setback, it seems like Destiny Udogie will rejoin Postecoglou’s XI.

Although Pedro Porro’s position is a bit less certain, supporters will likely anticipate his return as well.

Having said that, a different Tottenham player who is on the fringes has been making an impression at practice this week.

The Spurs coaches were heard enthusiastically applauding Alfie Whiteman around 1:50 after a spectacular double save that he made in a training video that was posted today.

This season, the 25-year-old seems to be Ange Postecoglou’s fourth choice, although he certainly looked well on this particular occasion.

Because Fraser Forster was injured, Brandon Austin was the goalie on the bench against Wolves.

And maybe there will be a significant shift in that part of the team the next season.

Even while players like Whiteman have shown promise in the Tottenham system before to joining Palace, if healthy, he certainly wouldn’t be applying any pressure on Forster.

Furthermore, it wouldn’t be shocking if Tottenham tried to replace Guglielmo Vicario as their number two player for the next campaign.

It could be wise to do a summer clearing out at the position, particularly with players like Aaron Maguire emerging.
