Player ratings as Toffees snatch point in a 2-2 draw after costly mistake

Jarrad Branthwaite’s 95th-minute equalizer secured a 2-2 draw for Everton against Tottenham Hotspur in the Premier League. Former Everton forward Richarlison scored twice in the first half for Spurs, but Jack Harrison’s goal and Branthwaite’s late header earned Everton a point.

Richarlison wasted no time, scoring in the fourth minute, lifted a fine finish above Jordan Pickford, giving tottenham an early lead. Everton responded with pressure, and Jack Harrison’s header, deflected off a teammate, brought them level from a corner. However, Richarlison doubled his tally with a beautiful curled effort before halftime, restoring Tottenham’s advantage.

Ben Godfrey’s close-range header was denied by Spurs goalkeeper Guglielmo Vicario, maintaining the visitors’ lead. In the second half, both teams sought opportunities, with Richarlison and Pedro Porro threatening for Tottenham.

Despite Pickford’s saves, Richarlison couldn’t complete his hat-trick. Branthwaite, however, rose to head home a late equalizer from a free-kick, securing Everton’s draw and moving them out of the relegation zone.
