‘I hate to say this’: Sutton 100% right about big Daniel Levy decision at Tottenham

Chris Sutton has admitted that Daniel Levy’s decision to hire Ange Postecoglou away from Celtic in the summer of 2023 was spot-on.

In the summer of 2023, Tottenham Hotspur hired Ange Postecoglou away from Celtic to serve as their new manager.

During his stint at Celtic, Postecoglou had great success.

The Hoops’ 58-year-old captain won the Scottish Premiership twice, the Scottish Cup once, and the Scottish League Cup twice.

Spurs have gotten off to a great start this year with Postecoglou at the helm.

Spurs have been winning matches and playing excellent football.

With 10 points after four games, Tottenham is in second place in the Premier League, two points behind leader and reigning champion Manchester City.

Praises for Ange Postecoglou, the manager of Tottenham Hotspur

Chris Sutton, a former striker for Chelsea and Celtic, has said that he predicted correctly about Postecoglou’s influence at Tottenham when Spurs chairman Daniel Levy brought him to Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

Sutton said on BBC Sport that he hates to say “I told you so,” but he did tell everyone how enjoyable Spurs games would be to watch under Ange Postecoglou, and he predicted a 3-0 victory for Tottenham against Sheffield United this coming Saturday in the Premier League.

“Spurs have been playing some of the best football in the league this season, in addition to getting good results, which is why I enjoy watching them so much.”

We think that Ange Postecoglou would be a fantastic coach for Tottenham Hotspur.

It’s still early on, so we shouldn’t get too excited, but everything has gone swimmingly so far.

Spurs supporters are raving about Postecoglou’s brand of play.

Even though they won’t be contending for the championship, Tottenham is still a strong contender for one of the league’s top four spots this year.
