I will go and return: £40M star now admits he can not see himself staying at Tottenham forever

One player for Tottenham has now said that he wants to play in Spain at some point in his future.

During the international break, the player said those things in an interview with El Espanyol.

That being said, which Tottenham player said he doesn’t see himself living in N17 forever? Let’s look…

Pedro Porro says he wants to leave Tottenham and go back to La Liga.
Well, Pedro Porro was the one who said he wants to play football again in Spain one day.

The Spanish player only moved to Tottenham from Sporting Lisbon for £40 million in January 2023, but he is already planning a move back to La Liga, where he played for Girona and Real Valladolid.

He said, “In football, you never know.” You might play somewhere else tomorrow if you don’t play there today. As a Spanish person, I would definitely like to go back and enjoy La Liga. I had a great time playing here, and I hope to come back one day.

The Spain international has played 44 times for Spurs since joining from Sporting CP. He has scored four goals and set up eleven others.

There is no need for Tottenham fans to worry about Porro because he wants to move back to Spain at some point.

Spurs has a deal with the No. 23 player until July 2028, so he should still have many more years in N17.

In any case, Tottenham stands to make a lot of money even if Porro does try to get a move before his deal ends.

The defender is worth €60m (£52m) according to the CIES Football Observatory. However, that is just a base price, and Spurs would probably ask for at least £70m if the player from Don Benito wanted to leave.

Porro has become a one-of-a-kind defender, if you can even call him that since he plays so high up the pitch.

English player Conor Coady was even shocked to see the Spanish player get through the defences of the other team during Tottenham’s recent 4-0 win over Aston Villa.

Porro wants to go back to Spain, so we hope he stays at Tottenham for a long time.
