Son Heung-min scolds Tottenham teammates and points finger of blame for Fulham loss

Son Heung-min, the captain of Tottenham, chastised his teammates for their 3-0 loss against Fulham and advised them to “look in the mirror.”

Following their crushing of Aston Villa the previous weekend, Son feels that Spurs’ loss was “two steps backwards” as his team wasted a great chance to take over fourth position in the Premier League.

After defeating the Villans 4-0 the previous weekend, the north Londoners had the opportunity to go one point clear of fourth-place Villa and increase the pressure on the team. But in their terrible loss to Fulham, Ange Postecoglou’s team had a setback that sent them reeling back to earth.

Spurs were easily defeated as Rodrigo Muniz scored twice and Sasa Lukic scored his first goal for Fulham. Son then threw shade at his coworkers, shockingly criticizing their effort and demeanor.

The Tottenham attacker expressed his disappointment and frustration to Sky Sports. Everyone must acknowledge their own faults by gazing in the mirror.

It was insufficiently good. We didn’t work as hard as we have this season. The attitude and the performance fell short. Everyone requires a severe awakening.

“In the Premier League, there are consequences for not being prepared. Both Fulham and Aston Villa are fantastic teams. You are penalized if you don’t put in your all. Three points aren’t given to you for free.

“This is a two-step regression. It’s time for us to move forward. Everyone finds it unacceptable, including me. We are cheering for Tottenham, one of the Premier League teams.

“We haven’t been doing anything like this this season. This is really depressing to watch. This isn’t fair to the supporters.
