Pundits attack Postecoglou on poor decision making that cost Spurs 2 points

Ange Postecoglou is to blame, according to Paul O’Keefe, for Tottenham’s defeat at Goodison.

Within five minutes of the game, Richarlison’s goal gave Spurs the lead, capping off a fantastic start.

However, Everton was a serious danger from set pieces the whole game and quickly equalised off a corner.

Calvert-Lewin scored the equaliser after Vicario was unable to stop the inswinging corner.

Up until a late stoppage time, Richarlison’s stunning goal from beyond the box gave them the lead back, and it seemed as if they would win the match.

Late in the game, Everton received a free-kick. Romero attempted to clear it, but instead he headed it towards his own goal, where Jarrad Branthwaite was waiting to tip it in.

Spurs’ performance was unimpressive, and Paul O’Keefe thinks Ange’s “poor” choice upset Tottenham’s flow.

He said that Spurs disrupted their play when they were in control because they made too many substitutions.

He believed that Spurs lost control of the game after the substitutions and let the late equaliser slip through.

He discussed his opinions about X:

Our flow was broken by too many substitutes, and we eventually lost the game. Really bad performance overall over the final fifteen.
