Postecoglou now set to drop 25yr old and start fantastic Tottenham player vs Aston Villa
Pedro Porro is set to make a return for Tottenham Hotspur in their clash against Aston Villa this Sunday.
The Spanish player has been sidelined for the past two Premier League matches due to a knee injury, during which Emerson Royal has filled in his position.
Manager Ange Postecoglou has confirmed that Porro has resumed training and is ready to play at Villa Park.
According to The Evening Standard, Porro is expected to reclaim his spot in the starting lineup for today’s game, providing a timely boost for Tottenham.
With Porro back in action, it is anticipated that he will take up his position at right-back, displacing Emerson Royal to the bench.
Porro’s return is particularly significant given the importance of today’s match for Tottenham’s aspirations of finishing in the top four.
A victory would narrow the gap between Tottenham and fourth-placed Villa to just two points, with Spurs having a game in hand. Porro’s presence on the field could be instrumental in Tottenham’s quest for a positive outcome.
Renowned for his creativity and attacking prowess, Porro has been a standout performer for Tottenham this season. His ability to provide assists and create scoring opportunities will be invaluable against Villa’s high defensive line.
With Porro back in the fold, Tottenham will have an additional threat going forward, capable of unlocking Villa’s defense and supplying ammunition to players like Heung-min Son and Timo Werner.
