Postecoglou angrily replied Spurs players in Tottenham draw after failing to kill off Everton

Ange Postecoglou, the manager of Tottenham, said he was “disappointed” in his team for giving up a late goal against Everton after they had failed to “kill them off.”

In their second game against Everton in about a month and a half, Spurs got off to a great start. It was Richarlison’s first game against his old team this season, and they beat them 2-1. He scored nine minutes into the game.

This time, the Brazilian scored the first goal even faster, four minutes in. He then put Tottenham back ahead in the 41st minute, after Jack Harrison had tied the game for Everton in the 30th minute.

Even though Everton threw a lot at Spurs, they stood strong. It looked like they were on the verge of a win until Jarrad Branthwaite scored a last-second goal with 94 minutes left.

Postecoglou, the manager of Tottenham, said after the game that he was upset with how his team lost because they had chances to end the game.

He told TNT Sports, “Pretty disappointed, especially giving up so late.”

“We had chances to kill them but didn’t.” They got one late in the end.

“They were only a threat when they put the ball in the box, which they did the whole game.”

He did praise the other team’s custodian, Jordan Pickford, for keeping his team at bay, even though he thought the other team should have done a better job of getting past him.

Postecoglou said, “Pickford made two or three great saves. We got two, but we just couldn’t get the third.”

Spurs’ manager also had nice things to say about Richarlison after he scored two goals.

He said, “Richy has been good for a while, not just with his goals but with his play in general.”

“Today, everyone put in a good shift.”

Richarlison now has 10 goals in the Premier League this season, thanks to the goals against his old team. During his time with them, he only scored more than that twice. Based on his current form, it looks like he’ll beat his record of 13 league goals.
