Postecoglou could now start unbelievable 21yr old for Spurs today, he is a star in the making

Tottenham Hotspur will try to return to winning ways on Saturday, with Ange Postecoglou selecting from “the healthiest squad” he’s had in a while.

Tottenham Hotspur Stadium hosts Brighton & Hove Albion at 3 p.m. on Saturday in the Premier League.

Tottenham led twice against Everton last time out, but were hauled back both times, with the hosts equalising deep into stoppage time.

However, Postecoglou’s team is now virtually completely healthy, with the extra bonus of three recent international absentees returning to N17.

Pape Matar Sarr and Yves Bissouma have returned from the Africa Cup of Nations, while Son Heung-min is back from the Asian Cup.

Sarr returned last week, although he did not start against Everton, instead coming in for the last 26 minutes of the game.

Postecoglou is highly likely to play the 21-year-old midfielder for Tottenham against Brighton, and he will undoubtedly make a significant impact.

Sarr is very much the glue for Spurs, with numerous outstanding qualities like as work ethic, defensive awareness, ball carrying, and off-the-ball activity.

Already so important at 21 years old, it will be interesting to observe how the ‘unbelievable’ skill develops in the following years.

Tottenham were commended for acquiring Pape Matar Sarr. While his passing and crossing are not yet faultless, this is to be anticipated given his age.

He’s already head and shoulders above most pros in the game, and if he continues on his current course, he’ll undoubtedly be one of the world’s greatest by 24-25.

Tottenham performed very well by signing him ahead of stiff competition. Indeed, in 2022, Jack Pitt-Brooke stated that several teams had phoned Spurs to congratulate them on signing Sarr.

“I know for a fact that when Tottenham signed him they had other heads of recruitment at other clubs ringing them up saying ‘wow, you did well to get Sarr, he’s someone we wanted for a while’,” he told the station’s YouTube channel.
