Several Premier League teams are interested in the 22-year-old player. Tottenham Hotspur has shown interest in Folarin Balogun, a forward who plays for Arsenal’s foes. However, a report has revealed that other Premier League clubs are also interested in signing the forward.

Will Spurs get a forward?

After selling Harry Kane earlier this month, Spurs boss Ange Postecoglou and owner Daniel Levy seem to be looking for a new forward before the September 1 deadline.

People in north London sold the England player to Bayern Munich in a deal worth around €100 million (£86m) plus an extra €20 million (£17.2m) in possible add-ons.

Richarlison is the only senior striker Postecoglou has access to. Earlier this summer, a young player named Alejo Veliz joined the team.

Several forwards, like KAA Gent’s Gift Orban and Nottingham Forest’s Brennan Johnson, have been linked to Spurs. Balogun is another player whose name has been mentioned in connection with a move to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, and a new development has come to light.

The Daily Mail says that Balogun is no longer needed by Arsenal and that the Gunners think he is worth £50 million. The story says that Tottenham, along with Chelsea and West Ham, have all asked about the attacker.

Balogun has trained away from Arsenal’s first team this summer because the Gunners are trying to raise money at the end of the transfer window. Monaco, AC Milan and Inter Milan are also interested in the striker.

Balogun is mostly a centre forward, but he can also play on either wing if the team needs him to. The 22-year-old has played for the USA at the senior international level. He seems to be at the top of his game, with a career-high €30m value on Transfermarkt, which has skyrocketed over the past year.

Balogun, who is supported by Adidas, has only played 10 senior games for the Gunners in all categories. However, he has stood out while on loan. Last year, the forward played for Stade Reims in France, where he helped score 25 goals in 39 games.

Mikel Arteta, who is the manager of Arsenal, has also said that Balogun is a “special” scorer and that he is “really brave.”

“He is a boy who knows exactly what he wants to do with his life. “He’s very ambitious, very dedicated, and very brave,” Arteta said.

“Before he made that move, we talked a lot about whether it was the right place for him to go and what other options he had. He was so sure of it. I’m so happy for him because he deserves what’s happening to him.

“When you look at the numbers and what he is doing, it’s just amazing. That doesn’t happen very often. But he has something different.”

It could be a deal to keep an eye on, but since Arsenal is likely to raise the price of the player to a straight foe, Spurs may find it hard to make a deal for Balogun and may end up moving on to other players like Orban or Johnson.
