Done Deal: Midfielder change his mind after five European clubs wanted him now has signed for Tottenham

Callum Olusesi, a budding star in football, was given a professional contract by Tottenham, demonstrating their dedication to developing young talent. This is a big step forward in the teen’s sports career.

Ange Postecoglou has incorporated many young players into the senior Spurs team.

Mikey Moore, Alejo Veliz, Ashley Phillips, Jamie Donley, and Alfie Dorrington are among the players who have lately been offered the chance to move up from the youth squad and practice with the first team.

This season, another rookie, Pape Matar Sarr, has made a name for himself in the starting lineup, emerging as one of Ange Postecoglou’s most vital players.

Olusesi has officially signed his first professional contract with the club, as confirmed by the official announcement made on the club’s website.

The announcement from the club said:

“We are happy to announce that Callum Olusesi has committed to the club on a professional contract for the first time.”

“After joining us on a full-time basis last summer, the 17-year-old central midfielder has continued to be a key figure in that age group this season. He featured regularly for our Under-18s in 2022/23 while still a schoolboy.”

Within Tottenham’s academy, Callum Olusesi has already made great strides, showcasing his skill in teams for the U17, U18, and U19 age groups.

For Spurs’ U18 team, the youngster has been quite good this season, making 18 appearances across all competitions and scoring 8 goals and dishing out 4 assists.

Europe was interested in him because of his outstanding accomplishments; Romano reportedly said that five European clubs were after him last summer. He seems to have rejected them all, however, and joined Tottenham on a professional contract.

Even if Olusesi may not be ready for first-team duty right away, the club and the player both benefit greatly from his acquisition.
