Romano now reveals star player untouchable amid multiple offer for him says postecoglou
More than four possible suitors expressed interest in Tottenham Hotspur’s midfield player, Pape Matar Sarr.
Transfer analyst Fabrizio Romano said that Spurs turned down all bids for Sarr because manager Ange Postecoglou thought he was “untouchable” from the start, despite the fact that the young player was attracting a lot of attention.
“Tottenham Hotspur received over four approaches for Pape Matar Sarr.”
“Spurs head coach Ange Postecoglou regarded the talented midfielder as untouchable from the very first day one, despite strong interest in him.”
The 21-year-old has said that he hopes to play with Spurs for an extended period of time.
In addition, he formalized his commitment last month by signing a new deal that will keep him here until June 2030.
Under Ange Postecoglou, he is enjoying a breakout season, having established himself as a mainstay in his starting lineup. In his 20 games so far, he has three goals and two assists.
And against Brighton, he was Spurs’ standout player once again as he opened the comeback with the equalizer.
Says TBH:
Ange Postecoglou’s stance on blocking any deal for the young talent is paying off for both the club and the athlete.
One of Ange’s best examples of spotting young potential and developing them into first-team players is Pape Matar Sarr.
