‘Wait and see’: Chris Sutton gives 100% assurance to Tottenham fans about Postecoglou in years

Chris Sutton has made a very big prediction regarding what will happen at Tottenham Hotspur next season under Ange Postecoglou.

Right now, it seems like everything is well in North London, as Postecoglou leads an ambitious project full of confidence.

It’s been far too long since Tottenham supporters had a team to be really enthusiastic about, with a clear path.

And, after a successful January transfer window, Spurs supporters must be looking forward to the summer, when they will undoubtedly make even more progress.

Another cause for hope is the impending arrival of Lucas Bergvall in the offseason.

However, Chris Sutton was skeptical that things would go so well under Postecoglou at Tottenham.

Sutton was speaking on BBC’s ‘The Monday Night Club’ when he made an initial remark regarding football fans in general.

The commentator was debating the ‘everything now’ attitude among certain followers, who he believes should be more patient.

He then used Postecoglou’s future as an example.

Sutton was certain that Spurs supporters will soon weary of the exciting football being played in North London right now.

The commentator predicted that Tottenham fans will soon be calling on Postecoglou to be more pragmatic in order to pull his club across the finish line.

Sutton remarked, “I believe we have reached a point when supporters demand absolutely everything. They want it everything.

“I promise that next season, Tottenham supporters under Postecoglou would say they need to be a little more pragmatic. “Wait and see.”

Of course, few Spurs supporters would agree with that just now.

Although Postecoglou’s team plays with tactical flexibility, not necessarily putting their back line first, their performances are still pragmatic.

Perhaps Sutton is implying that Tottenham supporters will ultimately push for Postecoglou to abandon his high line during games.

However, a lesson should be taken from Tottenham’s trip to Manchester City earlier this season.

With so many players out, many called on Postecoglou to be more realistic.

However, the Australian stuck to his guns and guided Tottenham to a remarkable point.

All that being said, Jamie Carragher has now praised a player that Spurs looked to miss out on in January.
