Tottenham now pushing to sign prolific striker who’ll cost Levy just £26M – journalist
Tottenham are apparently looking to recruit a prolific striker for around £26 million from chairman Daniel Levy, as manager Ange Postecoglou searches for a successor for Harry Kane this summer.

Postecoglou has openly accepted Spurs’ need for new faces, and after signing a one-year loan extension for Timo Werner, the belief is that they are still looking for additional offensive alternatives.

Tottenham are reportedly interested in former Chelsea teenager Callum Hudson-Odoi as a way to add additional talent out wide, and Postecoglou is also looking for a new striker for next season.
The Australian, speaking frankly about his Spurs team, has been convinced that change must occur this summer, drawing analogies to Liverpool and Arsenal, who have undergone huge transformations in recent seasons.
“We need change. “Change must occur,” stated Postecoglou last month (via the BBC).
“You can’t want to change your path radically for this club because we went in one route and are now turning in another, and you can expect the same people to be there.

“It simply won’t happen. We’ve had two windows, and there has been some player growth, but when I say we still have a long way to go, I mean it.
“It isn’t for want of effort. It’s simply that we’re going to play a specific manner, practice a certain way, and have a certain attitude, which may not be suitable for everyone. Similarly, whether it’s Liverpool or Arsenal, if you look at the beginning of their trips, by the time they win the tournament or achieve success, the team is practically unrecognisable.”
Spurs finished fifth and qualified for the Europa League last season, which is impressive given that they were without club-record goalscorer and former superstar striker Harry Kane for the first time.
Son Heung-min was their star, scoring 17 goals and providing 10 assists in all competitions, but sources claim Postecoglou does not want to depend on the South Korean again in his second season in command.
Tottenham wants to sign Youssef En-Nesyri
Many strikers have been touted in the press as possible Tottenham targets, including Brentford’s Ivan Toney. However, they are also looking for cheaper options from overseas.
Youssef En-Nesyri, a Sevilla player who scored 20 goals in all competitions last season, is thought to be of interest. The La Liga forward is reportedly valued at approximately £26 million, which might be considered a bargain given his recent success.
Tottenham are interested in signing En-Nesyri this summer, according to journalist Santi Ortega, who also informed Radio Sevilla (via Carrusel Deportivo) about the Moroccan’s attractive price.
The 6’2″ centre-forward has also been a regular for his home Morocco, scoring 20 goals in 71 appearances for the Qatar World Cup semi-finals.
