‘Useless’: President now admits he will let Spurs target leave, amid reports Tottenham are preparing £26M bid

Tottenham have got a transfer boost when a President openly said that he is willing to trade a target for Ange Postecoglou.

Spurs have had a good season under the Australian, but a recent run of only one victory in four Premier League games has demonstrated that several areas still need to be improved in N17.

Only Heung-min Son and Richarlison have scored more than six Premier League goals for Spurs this season, indicating a lack of a consistent source of attack.

Ange Postecoglou’s interest in a striker from Serie A suggests Tottenham has a great chance of completing the deal.

Tottenham have notified Albert Gudmundsson that he would be free to depart.

Alberto Zangrillo, President of Genoa, has already confirmed that he will not block Albert Gudmundsson from completing a dream move this summer.

It comes after Inter Live reported that Spurs might launch a £26 million deal for the Iceland international, adding Djed Spence, who is now excelling on loan in Genoa.

Gudmundsson has thrived in Italy this season, scoring 16 goals in 34 matches and adding four assists.

Speaking on the possibility of selling Genoa’s No.11 this summer, Zangrillo told Radio Sportiva: “He is a young, serious kid who wants to pursue goals that we cannot guarantee at the time. It is pointless to refute it.

“He has a national and international market; it is appropriate for both parties to make assessments; what matters is the end result.”

“I don’t deal with these issues; let the players dream and leave it up to us to perform properly on the market. We’ve learned to adore our guys. We can make solid deals and believe that in a few years Albert would say, “If it weren’t for Genoa, I wouldn’t be here.”

We believe that adding Gudmundsson will allow Son to contribute more in attack.

The South Korean international prospered while paired with Harry Kane, and the two even combined to score the most goals in Premier League history before the England international departed for Bayern Munich (47).

As a result, with Gudmundsson scoring the majority of his goals this season as a backup striker, the 26-year-old’s offensive threat may assist Son find space.

Keep an eye on this scenario, as we anticipate a deal this summer.
