He is a good buy: Glenn Hoddle says £35M Tottenham player is top 2 in his position in the league
Toon have added a number of new players since Ange Postecoglou became boss in the summer.
During that time, the club signed many players, including Brennan Johnson, Micky van de Ven, Guglielmo Vicario, and James Maddison.
Daniel Levy stood by his boss again in January. Timo Werner joined on loan, and Radu Dragusin and Lucas Bergvall were signed to play for the team full-time.
Of course, more new players will be signed in the summer. Glenn Hoddle, on the other hand, said that Tottenham wasn’t far away and used Van de Ven as an example of a player out there.
He says that the Tottenham back is second only to Virgil van Dijk as the best in the league.

Hoddle said Van de Ven is an example of what Spurs need when asked about possible new signings. He said Van de Ven is one of the best players in the league in his position.
It’s clear that good players are out there, and you can get them. Just look at Van de Ven joining the club. Even though he’s hurt right now, he looks like he would be in most players’ Premier League team if he hadn’t been hurt at the start of the season. He and Virgil van Dijk from Liverpool are the best two players in the country. He’s a find, and it’s funny that they’re both Dutch. He said, “We’re not far off if we get a few more like that in different positions and a couple of wide men.”
Micky van de Ven is doing great for Spurs.

Spurs paid about £35 million for Micky van de Ven at first, and it looks like they got a great deal.
Since the last window, Tottenham has made some smart deals. A lot of people really like Maddison, Romero, and the custodian Vicario, just like Van de Ven.
Now it’s important for them to keep making good deals and add to the strength of the team.
If they can do that in the summer and make some tactics changes, Tottenham Hotspur might be able to challenge for the title in 24/25.
