New target as Spurs looking at signing club’s star midfielder who Arteta called extraordinary

It is currently believed that Tottenham is interested in recruiting a new midfield player, whom Mikel Arteta, the manager of Arsenal, described as “extraordinary”.

Aston Villa and Ange Postecoglou’s team are now engaged in a heated struggle for fourth place and the right to play in the Champions League the following season.

Compared to Antonio Conte’s dismal last season in command, Postecoglou’s first season has been an unquestionable success so far, as the Australian’s presence has boosted the overall vibe surrounding Spurs.

Journalist Ben Jacobs recently told GMS, “Tottenham appreciates the player [James Garner], but there’s nothing advanced at this stage.”

Maybe Conor Gallagher is a better candidate to be the target. I also believe that Tottenham may be able to offer a little lower package if Gallagher does not sign a new Chelsea contract and nothing else advances. Mason Mount was a £60 million package to Manchester United, and Chelsea would undoubtedly refer to him and argue that Gallagher is playing better and he only had a year remaining on his deal. They may so wait for that £55 million to £60 million estimate. However, I believe Tottenham believes that if Gallagher hasn’t signed a new contract by the summer, he may be available for between £45 million and £50 million.”

The Englishman’s current Stamford Bridge deal ends next year, which has made Lilywhites executives aware despite his stellar performance. But Spurs could have to look at other midfield options if Gallagher decides to sign a contract.

Tottenham is considering signing Quinten Timber

Journalist Graeme Bailey and HITC claim that Quinten Timber, a great midfielder for Feyenoord who is having an incredible season in the Eredivisie, is a target for Tottenham.

In his 23 Dutch top-flight outings this season, the 22-year-old has scored six goals and provided six assists. Spurs, who are currently closely monitoring the youngster, are pleased by his achievements.

Quinten has been referred to by Arteta, who is the brother of Arsenal defender Jurrien Timber, as “extraordinary” like his sibling.
