£32m star who’s transfer target pictured at Tottenham Hotspur training

This is the time of season when Tottenham Hotspur fans will start to feel the excitement levels build up again.

Ange Postecoglou produced an encouraging, entertaining and fairly unique debut campaign last season, but now he will be aiming to go one better.

Tottenham Hotspur return to Europe after a one-season absence and they will be playing Europa League football after their fifth-placed finish.

The likes of Micky van de Ven might be starring at Euro 2024 and the summer tournament, alongside Copa America, might be proving to be a distraction and halting business in the transfer market.

But it hasn’t stopped the London club from getting deals done, including Tottenham securing the transfer of Archie Gray from Leeds United.

The 18-year-old was pictured in Spurs training as players returned to business and fans are going to be really excited to see what their new player will produce.

But whilst Gray enters the building, there are going to be certain figures who will leave because Postecoglou doesn’t see a future for them.

One of those players includes left-back Sergio Reguilon, who was out on loan at Manchester United and Brentford during the recently concluded season – although, Gabriel Agbonlahor claimed that Manchester United made a transfer mistake with the 27-year-old.

Reguilon has only played 67 games in all competitions since his £32 million (Sky Sports) transfer to Spurs in 2020 and now has 12 months left on his contract.

And you feel this will be Reguilon’s final time at the club because it’s logical to move him on and use that money to bring in other players.

Destiny Udogie has set the bar at Tottenham Hotspur

The Italy star suffered an injury towards the back end of the previous campaign and it proved to be costly for Spurs.

But in his maiden season in English football, he was outstanding and set a very high bar in that left-back spot, not just at his club, but in the whole league.
