With €15m deal accepted, club makes u-turn, deal may collapse

Even though AC Milan were said to be in advanced talks to sign Emerson Royal from Tottenham Hotspur, it now seems there’s a chance that transfer will collapse

That’s today reported by Sky Italia, relayed by MilanNe.ws24, with the website pointing out a ‘sensational U-turn’ in the negotiations.

It’s claimed that the Rossoneri’s chase for the Tottenham player has ‘cooled down a bit’, especially because they’re now looking at other options.

There’s even a chance Milan won’t go for another fullback, as defender Pierre Kalulu is being considered as an alternative to play on the right flank.

For weeks, the Italian media has been saying that the Rossoneri have the green light from Emerson Royal, although they had been struggling to find a deal with Tottenham for the transfer.

It was recently claimed in Brazil that Milan’s attempt to sign the player was via a €15m bid, with Spurs rejecting that and demanding something close to €20m.

With the Serie A giants struggling to meet those demands, it now seems they’re considering some other scenarios.
