Tottenham Hotspur may soon find themselves keeping a close eye on yet another member of the Bergvall family, as the youngest brother has now taken his first major step into professional football.
Spurs fans already know the name well thanks to Lucas Bergvall, whose arrival in 2024 was one of the most exciting youth additions the club had made in years.
His signing was a big win for Tottenham at the time, especially considering the intense competition they faced.
Barcelona had been pushing hard to bring Lucas to Camp Nou, and for a while it looked like the Catalan giants had the deal under control. Negotiations had progressed, and there was real confidence in Spain that an agreement was all but done.
But Spurs refused to back down. They presented Lucas with a clear, convincing project and a pathway built around real opportunities rather than empty promises. In the end, he chose Tottenham, a decision that now seems more than justified.
Lucas has already enjoyed a remarkable start to life in north London. The teenager made 45 appearances in his debut season and played an important role in Spurs’ Europa League triumph.

His energy, intelligence, and maturity on the ball have made him one of the most exciting young talents in the Premier League. This season he has already featured 19 times, and that total would be even higher had he not suffered a head injury in November that briefly halted his progress.
Even so, his influence continues to grow, and the trust the coaching staff have placed in him speaks volumes about his development.
Footballing talent clearly runs deep in the Bergvall family. Lucas’ older brother, Theo, has also built a strong reputation in Sweden. Now 21, he plays for Djurgården, the very club where Lucas rose to prominence before making the move to Tottenham.
Both brothers took their first professional steps with IF Brommapojkarna, a club known for producing young talent, and it appears another Bergvall is ready to follow that same path.
Seventeen-year-old Rasmus Bergvall has now signed his first professional contract, once again with IF Brommapojkarna, according to reports from Sweden’s Fotbolldirekt.
The youngest of the three brothers is already earning attention for his physical strength and versatility. He is described as a solid and powerful defender who is capable of playing at centre-back or right-back, giving him a valuable blend of attributes for modern football.
What is even more intriguing is that he’s said to be “even more explosive” than Lucas and Theo, which is quite the statement considering the athleticism they both possess.
For Tottenham, this development will naturally spark curiosity. The club already knows what they gained by securing Lucas, and the idea of another talented Bergvall emerging onto the scene will not go unnoticed.
Spurs have a strong record of tracking promising young players early, and with the family connection already in place, Rasmus will certainly be someone the club follows closely in the coming years.
While he is still very young and only at the beginning of his journey, his early reputation suggests that he could soon draw the same level of attention his brothers once did.
For now, though, he will continue developing in Sweden, building his game and growing into his frame. But if the past is anything to go by, it would not be surprising to see Tottenham and several other top European clubs monitoring his progress and evaluating whether the Bergvall talent pool has yet another star waiting to emerge.
For Spurs supporters, the idea of “three Bergvalls” in professional football adds an exciting storyline to follow. And if Rasmus turns out to be anything like his brothers, Tottenham may one day find themselves considering a familiar name in future transfer windows.
