Brennan Johnson is a very well-liked character behind the scenes at Tottenham Hotspur, according to Alasdair Gold.

Tottenham won 4-0 at Villa Park on Sunday, with Brennan Johnson finding the scoresheet.

In an interview with Alasdair Gold for the Gold & Guest Talk Tottenham podcast, Johnson discussed the opinions of Spurs supporters on his early years in north London.

The writer described him as “a very well-liked guy around the club, a very willing learner, and a very clever guy.”

“Very well-liked person behind the scenes who, as I’ve mentioned previously, has a genuine confidence in his potential.

“Brendan Johnson has everything it takes to be a true elite player; right now, we’re just seeing the very early version of him.”

One might argue that Johnson’s performance on Sunday was his finest while wearing a Spurs jersey.

Despite the winger’s ability to contribute in the last third and ten goal involvements, supporters were often dissatisfied with his all-around performances.

On Sunday, however, the Wales international had a genuine desire to overcome his opponent and gave Villa some trouble down the left-hand side.

Additionally, he had excellent chemistry with Destiny Udogie and was much more at ease using the left side of the field.
