Big blow: Tottenham Academy graduate wants to leave the club for game time amid Conor Gallagher huge interest

The summer will be jam-packed for Tottenham as they seek to bolster their squad for the next league and European campaigns.

Oliver Skipp, a product of Tottenham’s academy, reportedly wants to leave the club this summer to seek out regular play, as reported by play. London.

Skipp made it to 100 games for his club this season, which is a huge milestone, but he has struggled mightily to get regular playing time, which has stunted his growth.

Under manager Ange Postecoglou, Spurs finished fifth last season and qualified for the Europa League. He appeared in 31 games, starting five, and was replaced sixteen times.

Fans of Tottenham saw Skipp as a member of the family, and Antonio Conte had both him and Pape Sarr pegged as the club’s future stars.

When the two substituted for injured starters and went above and above in the Champions League match against AC Milan, the Italian boss couldn’t have been more complimentary.

When asked about the play of Skippy and Pape Sarr, two midfielders, Conte expressed his satisfaction with their performances.

Normally, I believe it’s challenging for significant players to perform in this manner in the Champions League and in this environment at the San Siro.

Their performance was outstanding, and I couldn’t be happier. We need to think about the possibility that we may end the season with only three midfielders—Pape Sarr, Skippy, and Pierre Hojbjerg—so this kind of performance puts me at ease about the future.

Spurs keen in signing Conor Gallagher

By deciding to prolong Timo Werner’s loan agreement, Spurs have already made their first summer acquisition. Last summer, the German made 13 appearances for the Lilywhites, scoring twice, and he will likely give other strikers a run for their money.

While Chelsea is trying to raise money for their initiative by selling a handful of homegrown players, Tottenham has also requested to be kept informed about Conor Gallagher’s status.

If Gallagher does show up, Skipp will undoubtedly need to consider his future in north London.
