Tottenham now really want to buy incredible £80M forward this summer, destroyed Man City this season

Pedro Neto, the No. 7 for Wolves, is now Tottenham’s top summer target, and Ange Postecoglou is eager to add a new striker.

That’s what the Evening Standard says. What’s new with Pedro Neto and Tottenham, then? Let’s examine this.

Tottenham prioritizes pursuing Pedro Neto

The Evening Standard claims that Spurs have made Ebere Eze and the Portugal international their top objectives.

Spurs’ main focus is on Neto, however, as the Crystal Palace No. 10 is said to be more inclined to join with Manchester City.

According to reports, Postecoglou wants Daniel Levy to sign a big player for N17 this summer as Spurs want to build on a successful year under the Australian coach.

It is said that the 58-year-old is interested in signing a forward who can spread the field with his speed and wreak havoc in wide areas.

Although the costs were reportedly too high for Postecoglou to accept, a loan agreement for Timo Werner was ultimately agreed upon.

Neto has had an incredible season with Wolves, making 20 appearances in all competitions, contributing 11 assists in addition to his three goals.

Strangely, the Wolves No. 7’s finest performance was during a game in which the Old Gold defeated Manchester City 2-1 at Molineux back in September, despite the fact that he did not score or provide an assist.

With an almost full run of the field, Neto forced Ruben Dias into an own goal, spoiling Manchester City’s perfect start to the 2023–24 Premier League season.

Tottenham may need to pay a record-breaking club fee.
Micah Richards described Neto as “incredible” earlier in the season. It is clear that Neto is essential to Gary O’Neil, as seen by his high price tag at Molineux.

David Ornstein of The Athletic claims that Tottenham will need to shell out £80 million in order to get the 23-year-old to leave Wolves this summer.

Spurs would break their existing transfer record, which is the £63 million they paid for Tanguy Ndombele in 2019, if they pay that much for Neto.
