Tottenham tender big offer for striker with 31 goals & 9 assists

Tottenham Hotspur are gearing up for a crucial summer transfer window, aiming to bolster their squad ahead of the next Premier League season.

A key priority for Spurs is to secure a centre-forward to fill the void left by the departure of their iconic striker, Harry Kane, who moved on from North London last season.

Recent reports indicate that Tottenham are keenly interested in Genoa’s standout player, Albert Gudmundsson. The Icelandic forward has garnered attention from top Italian clubs, including Inter Milan, Napoli, and Juventus, following an impressive season in Serie A.

Gudmundsson has continued to shine this campaign, reinforcing his importance to Genoa after playing a pivotal role in their promotion to the top flight last season.

The seasoned striker has been in fine form, tallying 16 goals and 4 assists in 36 appearances across all competitions this season.

Across all competitions, he has scored 31 and assisted 9 in 86 appearances since joining the Italian outfit.

According to Inter-News.it, Tottenham have been in ongoing discussions with Genoa “for some time” and could be prepared to table a significant offer to acquire Gudmundsson’s services.

Spurs’ sustained interest in Gudmundsson stems from their recent dealings with Genoa, which included signing Radu Dragusin and loaning Djed Spence to the Italian club with a buy option during the January transfer window.

Despite Genoa’s valuation of the 26-year-old at €30-35 million, Tottenham appears ready to meet this price to secure his services.

Bringing in Gudmundsson would fit neatly into Tottenham’s plan to strengthen their squad under manager Ange Postecoglou, particularly as they aim to reinforce their attacking options for the upcoming season.
