Tottenham Hotspur are once again showing ambition in the transfer market, with reports claiming the club have submitted a formal offer to sign highly rated Atletico Madrid midfielder Pablo Barrios.
According to sources in Spain, Spurs have made their interest clear as they look to strengthen a midfield that has too often fallen short against top-level opposition.
Barrios is still only 22, yet he already looks like a player far beyond his years. His journey to this point has been shaped by elite football education. He began his development in Real Madrid’s youth system before making the bold switch to city rivals Atletico Madrid in 2017.
