Postecoglou says magnificent Tottenham star should now be back to face Fulham tonight

Prior to the Fulham match, Ange Postecoglou, the manager of Tottenham Hotspur, provided a favourable report on Richarlison’s fitness.

The Brazil international participated in the day’s training, according to the Spurs manager, who made this assertion to reporters during his press conference on Friday. He “should” be available.

A knee injury he sustained in Tottenham’s 2-1 defeat to Wolves in February has kept Richarlison out of the team’s past two Premier League games.

Before suffering an injury setback, the 26-year-old was playing quite well. He scored five goals for Spurs in as many games, including two against Everton, his old team.

But it seems like Richarlison will be fit for Saturday night’s match at Craven Cottage against Fulham.

“Richy, he trained today and ought to be available tomorrow,” Postecoglou was reported as saying by the Evening Standard.

Richarlison will be fired up for Spurs as they want to finish in the top four of the Premier League.

Following his recovery from surgery to address a persistent groyne problem, Richarlison has been playing well for Tottenham.

The “magnificent” Spurs player battled mightily during his first season at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, and he carried on struggling this season until undergoing surgery.

Richarlison is expected to return from yet another stint on the sidelines, and if he is selected and is available against Fulham, he will be fired up and ready to play.

Fortunately, Tottenham’s depth and goals from all over the field mean that they haven’t missed him too much during his absence.

Against Aston Villa, James Maddison, Brennan Johnson, Son Heung-min, and Timo Werner all scored goals for Spurs.

In the match against Crystal Palace, Son, Werner, and Cristian Romero all scored goals.

If Tottenham defeats Fulham on Saturday, they will pass Aston Villa to take fourth place.
