Tottenham and Bayern Munich set for talks after Harry Kane deal inserted into another
It is said that Tottenham will play Bayern Munich in a friendly this summer. It was agreed upon when Harry Kane’s move to the Bundesliga team was being discussed before the season started. The England player is set to return to his old team in August.
It became clear very quickly that Kane would not be renewing his deal with Spurs, so they chose to let him go over the summer. After getting turned down for several early offers, Bayern finally made a deal with Tottenham to sign the scorer for £82 million, and the forward hasn’t looked back since.
Kane has scored 26 goals in 23 games for Thomas Tuchel’s team. With 22 goals, he is also the Bundesliga’s top scorer. It looks like the 30-year-old will have a record-setting season and should finally win at least one prize by the end of the season.
Tottenham has also had a good start to the season. Ange Postecoglou put in place a new method that made sure the team wasn’t relying on just one player to score goals like they were before. From the end of the season on, Kane will be able to see how his old team is doing under the new manager who used to lead Celtic.
According to BILD, two matches will be played between Bayern and Tottenham as part of the talks for Kane. The first game is set for the second week of August. The game will take place in London, and Spurs will get the money from it.
The second game hasn’t been set in stone yet, and it’s still unclear whether both teams will choose to play again in 2025 in order to make the most of the chance.
Kane isn’t the only former Spurs star who will be going back to his old team. Eric Dier, who recently signed with Bayern Munich, is also going to be back at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. The center-back joined the team at the Allianz Arena earlier this month on a loan-to-buy deal. He had been out of form under Postecoglou and wanted to leave.
In the next few weeks, the English pair might also be able to work together with a known face in the Bundesliga. Kieran Trippier has become a surprise target for Bayern. Di Marzio says that Tuchel really wants to get a right back this month and thinks that the Newcastle defender is a better option than Nordi Mukiele from Paris Saint-Germain.
