Including Tottenham – Romano says Spurs want Rolls-Royce star as well as Gallagher

Even though other Premier League and European teams want to sign Bournemouth’s Lloyd Kelly, Tottenham Hotspur is still interested in buying him.

Spurs had tried to sign Kelly before, but Bournemouth turned them down because they didn’t have time to find a replacement.

Kelly’s deal ends this summer, so Spurs might wait until then to try to get him for free, but other teams might get there first.
According to trade expert Fabrizio Romano, Tottenham Hotspur is still interested in Bournemouth star Lloyd Kelly. However, the north London team will have to beat off interest from teams in the Premier League and Europe to get the defender.

Spurs and Kelly were involved in a trade drama during the summer, but Kelly didn’t end up moving to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. Now that January is over, though, the 25-year-old is once again thought to be on his way to Spurs.

This time, though, there are more people interested. Kelly is said to be being looked at by teams across Europe that play in the Champions League.

Spurs failed in their last attempt to get Kelly

It’s not a secret that Spurs are interested in getting Kelly. The star from Bristol has been on their watch for a while. Even though Spurs tried to make a move in the summer, Bournemouth turned them down near the end of the window.

At the time, The Athletic said that Bournemouth had turned down a £20 million offer, saying they didn’t have enough time to find a substitute. Part of the reason for that was that Kelly 8is a key member of the playing group and had been an important part of the south coast team’s return to the Premier League before he hurt his leg earlier this season.

However, as the end of the January transfer window draws near, rumours about Kelly leaving Spurs have once again begun to spread.

The Kelly reports are back, and Spurs are still interested

Sky Sports reporter Dharmesh Sheth told GIVEMESPORT about Spurs’ interest in the back and said they had been “keeping an eye” on him. The former Bristol City player could play either centre back or left back, so it’s easy to see how he would fit into Ange Postecoglou’s plans at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

However, it’s still unclear when Spurs would like to bring Kelly into the team. The north Londoners are said to prefer a summer move instead. Kelly, who has been called a “Rolls-Royce,” only has six months left on his deal at the Vitality Stadium. This means that Tottenham could make a move for the flexible defender at the end of the season without having to pay a huge transfer fee this month.

Even though Spurs have always admired the player, their chances of signing the Bournemouth star could depend on interest from other teams across Europe.

When asked about the latest news on Kelly’s plan to leave Bournemouth, Romano, a trade expert who has also told GIVEMESPORT that Postecoglou wants to get Conor Gallagher from Chelsea, said that he thinks a move will happen, though it might not be until the end of the season. However, Kelly has to make a choice because teams from both the Premier League and Europe are reportedly interested in him. His favourite location is still unknown. Romano said to GIVEMESPORT:

“They are still keeping an eye on him.” There are more than just Tottenham. In fact, Tottenham was very close to closing the deal last summer. The player Eric Dier was offered to Bournemouth as part of the deal, but he didn’t want to go through with the talks. Then they tried to sign the player without Dier, but Bournemouth said no because they didn’t have time to find a new player and chose to keep Dier.

“Now it’s not just Tottenham; there are other clubs as well, like AC Milan, Juventus, and clubs in Germany and England.” There are a lot of options for Kelly, but I think he’ll leave for free, and Tottenham is one of the clubs that wants to sign him.

Ange Postecoglou is the boss of Tottenham Hotspur.

After the draw at Old Trafford over the weekend, Postecoglou and his team have had a rare week off. Since most of their transfer business has already been completed, including the £27 million purchase of Radu Dragusin, all eyes are now on Spurs’ next FA Cup game.

It’s also a big one—the capital club was chosen to play Manchester City at home in the FA Cup final. It should be a lively game in north London. The European winners have still not scored at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium and have not come away with any kind of win.

The FA Cup is Spurs’ last chance to win a trophy this season, so it gives Postecoglou’s team a psychological edge going into the game.
