Tottenham present €5m+ bids to sign Fiorentina player
Tottenham Hotspur and Aston Villa are both reportedly keen on acquiring Fiorentina’s talented right-back Michael Kayode during the summer transfer window.
The 19-year-old Italian U21 international has caught the attention of Premier League clubs following his impressive performances in Serie A.
According to reports from Viola News, Tottenham is seen as the primary contender for Kayode’s signature. On June 24th, Corriere Fiorentino highlighted Tottenham’s strong interest, marking them as the biggest threat to Fiorentina’s efforts to retain the young defender.

Italian journalist Alfredo Pedullà revealed that Aston Villa is also heavily invested in signing Kayode. After having their initial bid of €15 million rejected by Fiorentina, Villa is expected to return with an improved offer. The club’s manager, Unai Emery, is keen to bolster his squad’s defensive options, making Kayode a prime target.
Kayode made 37 appearances for Fiorentina last season, showcasing his defensive skills and potential. His performances have not gone unnoticed in the Premier League, with both Tottenham and Aston Villa recognizing his value as a dynamic and promising right-back.
Both Tottenham and Aston Villa have reportedly tabled offers for Kayode, but these bids were less than €20 million and subsequently rejected by Fiorentina. According to Viola News, Fiorentina would only consider selling Kayode for a fee around €25 million, including bonuses.
Corriere dello Sport previously suggested that even a fee of €30 million might not be sufficient to secure Kayode’s transfer from Fiorentina. However, Viola News indicates a slightly lower asking price, suggesting that Tottenham and Aston Villa need to increase their offers by at least €5 million to meet Fiorentina’s demands.
As the summer transfer window progresses, Tottenham and Aston Villa remain in a competitive race to sign Michael Kayode.
