Tottenham plot raid for Argentine-born sensation, £60m will seal deal

The Argentina-born star’s high price tag and the caliber of other interested teams are said to make it hard for the Cottagers to sign him in the middle of the season, despite their desire to add a new striker to their roster in the January transfer window.

The in-form attacker is expected to demand a transfer price of over £60 million from Feyenoord, and Football Insider has been informed by a reliable source that a summer transfer is more probable than one that occurs in the new year.

The massive Dutch team is said to have no plans to sell in the middle of the season as they want to succeed in both Europe and the Eredivisie.

While Fulham had the chance to observe Gimenez up close earlier this week, it’s thought that at the conclusion of this season, top Premier League teams like Tottenham, Chelsea, and Arsenal will also be vying for his services.

The Mexico international has made 20 appearances in all competitions so far in 2023–24 season, with 20 goals and four assists.

Previous season, he scored 28 goals to help Feyenoord win the Eredivisie championship. In August of that year, he signed a new contract that would keep him at De Kuip until June 2027.

The six-foot-tall forward competed for Mexico in the Gold Cup earlier this year and has scored four goals in 24 appearances for the national team.

Tottenham has not yet added a replacement for departing star Harry Kane, while Fulham, who have recently improved their goal scoring, is looking to add more strikers.

While Chelsea is dissatisfied with its attack force after purchasing Christopher Nkunku and Nicolas Jackson in the most recent summer window, Arsenal is likewise eager to rethink their forward options.
