‘Could still leave’: Five Tottenham players at risk of getting the chop out this summer – journalist claims

Tottenham Hotspur has a busy summer ahead as they look to finalize several incoming and outgoing transfers. With only one major signing so far, Archie Gray, the club still needs to streamline its squad and offload several players.

Currently, Tottenham’s squad is quite large, with many players deemed surplus to requirements. Speaking on the Ranks FC Ultras Podcast, Dean Jones highlighted Tottenham’s transfer plans, revealing that up to five players could leave the club this summer.

Dean Jones shared insights on the potential departures from Tottenham:

“There are players who could be going out of the club. Lo Celso will be going, Emerson Royal could go, Reguilon, Bryan Gil, Oliver Skipp, there are plenty of names who could still leave the club,” Jones said.

If Tottenham successfully offloads these five players, it could generate substantial funds. Additionally, there should still be residual money from the Harry Kane deal last summer.

This influx of cash could enable Spurs to make significant investments in new talent during the current transfer window.

However, selling these players for decent fees is not straightforward. They are on the transfer list for a reason, and their current contract situations pose challenges for the club as a seller.

Among the potential departures, the only concrete rumor involves Emerson Royal’s possible move to AC Milan.

With just over a month left in the transfer window, Tottenham still has considerable work to do. Their goal is to balance the squad by removing excess players and bringing in high-quality additions to strengthen the team. This strategic approach is crucial for competing at the highest level in the upcoming season.

While offloading players is a priority, Tottenham is also focused on making strategic signings to enhance their squad. The funds generated from player sales, along with the remaining budget from the Kane deal, will be crucial in securing top talent.

Tottenham Hotspur faces a dynamic and challenging transfer window as they aim to optimize their squad.
