Former employee could raid Tottenham of player with unbelievable pace as he holds unique advantage

According to the Yorkshire Evening Post, former Spurs employee Gretar Steinsson, now a technical director at Leeds United, could play a key role in brokering a deal for Joe Rodon.
Steinsson, who facilitated Rodon’s loan move to Leeds last summer, might leverage his connections to negotiate with Tottenham.
Rodon had a standout season on loan at Leeds United, where he delivered exceptional performances in the Championship.
Despite playing in the second tier, the Welsh international’s displays were crucial as Leeds pushed for promotion. Leeds manager Daniel Farke praised Rodon’s pace and defensive capabilities, highlighting his value to the team.
Tottenham is in the market for another center-back to provide backup for Cristian Romero, Micky van de Ven, and Radu Dragusin.
Rodon, having tasted regular first-team football at Leeds, could be a viable fourth-choice option for Spurs. However, with his desire for consistent playing time, he may seek opportunities elsewhere this summer.
Although Leeds United may not have the financial muscle to compete with other interested clubs, Steinsson’s history with Tottenham could give them a unique advantage. His familiarity with the club and its operations might facilitate a smoother negotiation process with Levy.
Given his impressive performances at Leeds, there’s a case to be made for giving Joe Rodon another chance at Tottenham.
His speed and defensive acumen make him a valuable asset, especially as Spurs look to bolster their defensive options. However, the club must weigh this against Rodon’s preference for regular first-team football.
