Tottenham now want to sign best winger in the league, Aston Villa transfer clause explained

Spurs are officially entering the competition to sign Hull City star Jaden Philogene.

Last summer, Aston Villa made the decision to let go of a few young players.

After stints on loan at Stoke City and Cardiff City, Jaden Philogene joined Hull City, while Cameron Archer was sent to Sheffield United.

While Archer has shown flashes of brilliance, Philogene has excelled in the Championship.

With eight goals and six assists in 20 Championship games, the 22-year-old has established himself as a key player in Hull’s campaign for the postseason.

A deflection marred an amazing goal by Rona against Rotherham United, but Philogene is playing well in the Championship and is now in demand in the Premier League.

Spurs are interested in Jaden Philippe

According to Teamtalk, Tottenham is currently in the lead in the summer transfer market for Philogene.

Tottenham has reportedly scouted Philogene many times in front of a potential transfer.

Philogene is a top choice for Tottenham as they search for a new winger in the summer transfer window.

This season, the former Villa player has mostly played down the left wing, but in recent weeks, he has also featured on the right.

Philogene has shown to be a skilled dribbler, so it will be nice to have that flexibility.

Tottenham is now eager, but Aston Villa may yet put a wrench in things.

As part of the £5 million agreement, Villa sold Philogene and included a buy-back provision, which means Villa Park might see Philogene return.

Villa can buy Philogene back for £15 million, but they would have to match any £20 million offered by an other team, like Tottenham.

After a tremendous season, Tottenham may think that Philogene is worth around £20 million, but they will have their eye on a lot of wingers.
