Exclusive: Tottenham make moves to sign 3 players

Some sources have told Football Insider that Tottenham could still make a late senior deal this month even though they didn’t get Antonio Nusa.

Spurs are thought to be interested in several young players on the rise, and they have made inquiries about at least three this month, including Adam Wharton of Blackburn Rovers.

Sources close to Ange Postecoglou’s team have told Football Insider that they want to use buy-to-loan deals to plan for the future.

Brentford took over a deal for Club Brugge star Nusa, and it looks like they won’t get the player. The £25 million deal has apparently been held up.

Spurs were going to buy Nusa and then loan him back to Club Brugge. They are now looking at similar deals for young stars as the window closes.

Tottenham has been busy this month. They have signed center back Radu Dragusin permanently from Genoa for a claimed £26 million and loaned RB Leipzig midfielder Timo Werner for the rest of the season.

Late in the transfer window, the club could also lose more players. On January 16, Football Insider reported that they would allow moves for Bryan Gil and Ryan Sessegnon if the right offers came in.

Tottenham is currently in fifth place in the Premier League, but they were recently eliminated from the FA Cup after losing 1-0 at home to Man City on Friday night (January 26).

The next league game is at home against Brentford on Wednesday night (January 31).
