Tottenham willing to pay extra €10M in bonuses to secure signing – Levy continues to back guru

Recently, reports emerged from Italy indicating Tottenham Hotspur’s interest in Genoa’s Albert Gudmundsson, as they aim to outpace Inter Milan in the race for his signature.

Gudmundsson, who operates as an attacking midfielder, has been in impressive form this season, tallying 13 goals and four assists, making him a sought-after target for Spurs, Inter, and several other clubs.

InterLive.it has provided the latest updates on the competition between Tottenham and the Serie A outfit for the 26-year-old’s services.

Depsite Fabio Paratici role at Spurs in April 2023 following an unsuccessful appeal against his FIFA-imposed worldwide ban, Italian media outlets suggest that he still wields influence at the club in north London.

Paratici is reportedly eager to pursue a deal for the Icelandic international on behalf of Tottenham. However, Inter’s options are limited, as they can only secure Gudmundsson on loan with an obligation to purchase him for €30 million.

In contrast, it’s rumored that Tottenham, facilitated by Paratici, could increase their offer to €40 million, presenting a potential stumbling block for the Serie A side.

Gudmundsson’s market value is estimated to be between €30-35 million, and Spurs could structure their bid with €30 million upfront plus additional bonuses to reach €40 million.

The former Juventus director appears determined to operate discreetly despite his ban, with reports indicating his continued involvement in negotiations behind the scenes.

According to sources, Spurs chairman Daniel Levy has expressed satisfaction with Paratici’s decisions and hasn’t completely distanced him from the club.
