Tottenham make contact for signing – Spurs getting close to entourage ahead of potential swoop
A story from France says that Tottenham Hotspur and Chelsea are both interested in signing OGC Nice star Jean-Clair Todibo.
RMC Sport said earlier this month that Spurs are very interested in the center back’s image. Chelsea and Napoli are also trying to get players, so they’re not the only ones.
So say Téléfoot, who say that Tottenham, Chelsea, and the Serie A winners have all talked to the 24-year-old’s team.
Ange Postecoglou’s team added Radu Drăgușin to their defense earlier this month, but that hasn’t stopped them from getting in touch with Todibo’s team.
The France player has played 15 times this season and is one of the most important for the Ligue 1 team. The story says that Nice has no plans to let him go in the winter market, and his contract lasts until 2027.
Téléfoot says in another post on X that the former Barcelona player could be the “biggest sale” in Nice’s history if he keeps playing well for the French team.
There’s no word of the fee that Nice might get when the player is sold in the future. That was when they sold Jean Michaël Seri to Fulham in 2018 for €30 million, which is their all-time high.
