Tottenham line up £30m replacement for 25 y/o player, Frank wanted him at Brentford
Tottenham has lined up a £30 million replacement for one player this summer. Brentford had been interested in signing him for boss Thomas Frank.
Ange Postecoglou, the head coach of Tottenham Hotspur, has said that the team will need more than one transfer window to become a real Premier League rival. The first window is expected to open in a few weeks.
According to Paul O’Keefe, Tottenham is considering offers for more than a dozen players. The Lilywhites also want to support Postecoglou by adding players in many areas of the field, such as at center back, middle, and further forward (Tom Allnutt).
They have already agreed to keep Timo Werner on loan for another year. The deal includes an £8.5 million chance to buy the German player directly next summer. Spurs are said to have a busy summer transfer window, though Fabrizio Romano says Postecoglou’s team is far from done.
“I don’t think we’re even close to where we want to be as a team. We still have a lot of work to do.” “It will definitely take a little more than three windows to get there,” Postecoglou said of his Spurs team.
And I don’t think we’re just one or two guys away from where I want us to be. Not even close. That will happen naturally in some ways. Some of it should mean that some of our guys keep getting better like they have this year. We’ll be in a great spot if that happens in the next twelve months.
Tottenham’s best-performing players in the top flight last season | Average match rating (WhoScored) |
---|---|
Son Heung-min | 7.30 |
James Maddison | 7.17 |
Pedro Porro | 7.04 |
Cristian Romero | 7.03 |
Dejan Kulusevski | 6.96 |
“But keep in mind that many of our players are new to the Premier League.” They’ve been here all along, and we need them to keep getting better at the rate they are. The team still has a lot of work to do. I don’t think we need just one or two more players to get where we want to be.
Spurs are also looking to add new fullbacks this summer. The club has already said that Ryan Sessegnon will be moving this summer when his contract ends because they chose not to exercise the one-year extension option in it.
Tottenham has lined up Vanderson to take the place of Emerson Royal
A lot of people think Emerson Royal will leave in the next few weeks as well, since he has fallen far behind Pedro Porro in Postecoglou’s hierarchy.
AC Milan is said to be very interested in the 25-year-old player, so this could be his last summer at N17, three years after coming from Barcelona.
GiveMeSport says that Tottenham has lined up Vanderson, a defender for Monaco, as a replacement for Emerson. It is thought that he would cost around £30 million.
The 22-year-old scored three goals and set up another in 20 Ligue 1 games for Monaco last season. GMS says that Brentford was also interested in Vanderson about three years ago.
