Tottenham eye bargain €15m deal for striker with 20 G/A in 30 games this season – report

Tottenham Hotspur are considering a move for Japanese striker Yuito Suzuki amid plans to revamp Ange Postecoglou’s squad this summer.

Danish news outlet Bold reports that Spurs have sent scouts to watch the 22-year-old a couple of times and are weighing up the possibility of a €15 million move.

Tottenham are set to miss out on Champions League football next season, so the north Londoners have begun making contingency plans for the summer.

Spurs are expected to target only ‘realistic’ moves, and Suzuki checks that box for the Lilywhites, although his price could skyrocket if he continues his current trajectory.

Suzuki has already notched 11 goals and nine assists in 30 games across all competitions for Brondby this season, and the Danish outfit could struggle to retain his services.

Spurs are not the only side monitoring the Japan Under-23 international, with Dutch giants Ajax and German outfit VfB Stuttgart also keen on his services.

Manchester City, Manchester United, and AC Milan have also sent representatives to watch the Japanese striker, but Spurs appear to be the most interested.

The youngster could prove to be a value-for-money acquisition for the north Londoners, with the club keen to reinforce a couple of key areas in the squad.

Midfield reinforcement is also thought to be high on Postecoglou’s summer wishlist, with the club plotting a raid on capital rivals Chelsea for Conor Gallagher.

Spurs hold a long-standing interest in the England international, who could be available this summer as he approaches the final 12 months of his contract with the Blues.

The 24-year-old has been a standout performer for Chelsea this season, returning seven goals and nine assists in 49 appearances across all competitions.

Gallagher has also created 11 big chances in the Premier League while averaging 1.5 key passes per 90. He has also won half of his total duels.

However, his stellar performances haven’t earned him a new contract at Stamford Bridge. Spurs are planning to test Chelsea’s resolve, although they may have to pay around £50m to get a deal over the line.
