Tottenham Expert wants midfielder gone after Sky Sports update last night

We’re excited to have John Wenham of Lilywhite Rose as our new exclusive writer. It’s his job to give his expert opinion on the biggest Spurs stories every week

Because Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg “is obviously not in the plans” of Ange Postecoglou, John Wenham thinks that Tottenham should try to sell him this month.

Since the Aussie took over at the start of the season, Hojbjerg has only played five Premier League games.

He has been mentioned with a move away. On January 16, 5:48 p.m., Sky Sports News said in their live Transfer Center that Spurs are “not in a hurry” to decide what to do with the Denmark international midfielder’s future, and that it will “go down to the last days of the transfer window.”

The North London team will decide at the end of the transfer window if they can move Hojbjerg on and bring in a replacement. However, they will not accept any “cut-price deals” for the 28-year-old player, who is wanted by Juventus, Napoli, and other Premier League teams.

Wenham thinks that this is why the club should try to get rid of the player so that they can keep making progress with the team.

There is still a lot of work to be done in central midfield, and Wenham told Tottenham News privately, “I think that Tottenham should try to sell Hojberg this month. He only has 18 months left on his deal in North London.”

“Only then do I think they’ll move forward with their plan to sign another midfielder. This would be a big part of the club’s rebuilding right now.”
