Tottenham to proceed with deal as player gives green light for move

TEAMtalk has disclosed that Tottenham Hotspur intends to explore other options in the event that their efforts to sign Jean-Clair Todibo are not supported.

According to Fabrizio Romano’s YouTube channel on Wednesday, Spurs allegedly made their initial approach for Todibo earlier this week. The North London club reportedly contacted Nice and the player about the possibilities of a January trade to improve Ange Postecoglou’s defensive options.

According to Romano, Tottenham does not want to delay the discussions until the end of January and wants the agreement to be finalized as soon as possible.

According to the source, Tottenham is willing to postpone Todiobo until later in the year and won’t lose any time if the discussions are challenging.

By the middle of January, Ange Postecoglou’s team is said to be interested in adding a new defender. Ben Godfrey of Everton, Lloyd Kelly of Bournemouth, Morato of Benfica, Tosin Adarabioyo of Fulham, and Radu Dragusin of Genoa are among the players they have their eye on.

According to the report, Todibo is eager to join the Premier League, but Nice may not want to move soon since they are currently contending with Paris Saint-Germain for the top spot in Ligue 1.

According to TEAMtalk, Spurs are willing to bid up to £40 million for the French international, and the Lilywhites are not said to be primarily concerned about the cost.
